Beautiful Danish Data

A field guide to economics published with Danish administrative data

3D data landscape

The floor is a grid of years by data domain, shaded by how many papers use that kind of data in that year. Each paper floats above the floor at its own height, with one line for every domain it uses, running over the years its data cover. Papers are stacked by the year their data start.

The 20 registers are grouped into 9 domains; the Variable map lists the registers in each. 147 of 155 papers have a stated data period and are shown. The time axis starts in 1975; 7 papers with older data are drawn from 1975, and their hover text gives the true period.
